Does the word ‘enforcement’ have a negative feel to you? While we do have some activities that are more enforcement-related, what we really are trying to accomplish is to provide education around substance use and healthy lifestyle choices.

We work to affect positive community change through education, to reduce youth substance use. We use different educational strategies that can include enforcement, like conducting safety checks and saturation patrols.

Education, through enforcement, can also help to change social access, by changing ordinances about social hosting. We also educate by organizing RX take back events, and by supplying medication drop boxes for old/unused prescription drugs.

Compliance checks, alcohol outlet density policies, and responsible beverage seller training are other educational opportunities that the coalition hosts.
